Freddy Fender died this evening in Corpus Christi, Texas. he was 69 years old. He was The BeBop Kid from the Rio Grande Valley that made it on the Hollywood/Texas walks of fame, played innagural parties for President's Bush and Clinton, won numerous grammys for his solo work, and collaborative efforts with The Texas Tornados and Los Super Seven, and there's a freakin' WATER TOWER with his face on it in San Benito. "
